    1. Thanks, Nita,
I guess that was the key. I’ve been consciously involved in human relations since I was 10 and made a career of it. Guess it only stands to reason that this would be the category that would give recognition to my memoir.
Thanks, too, for being my writing partner and cheering me on during all those years of writing. Looking forward to your book and hope you can see your way to publication soon.
      Hugs,
      Linda

  1. Wow, wow, WOW!! You GLOW, girl!! That is so fantastic, and so well deserved. How wonderful to see those years of struggle and tears recognized, and how wonderful to have even a small inkling of how many people that will help! Congratulations!!

    1. Thank you, Ruth,
Wonderful to be recognized beyond my good friends … of which you one. I hope this recognition results in more people who can be helped by my story finding it. You know that is what really matters … though it does feel good to get some recognition, too. 🙂
      Hugs,
      Linda

  2. Congratulations, Linda! This book is incredible and deserves all of the recognition it receives. The importance of your story and lessons you learned along the way are so relevant and helpful to your readers. Thanks for sharing your life with the world!

    1. Thank you, Diana,
You’ve praised the book from the beginning … that’s what good friends do. Nice to know others who don’t know me recognize it’s worth as well.
Your friendship means a lot to me.
      Love,
      Linda

  3. Congratulations, Linda. I am so happy for you and that you got the recognition that you deserve for writing your story. I hope this makes you feel proud and happy!!!! Love you, prema

      1. Thank you, Prema,
It does feel good to be recognized and validated. Makes sense that I would receive an award about human relations … since that has been a personal and professional focus for most of my life. Best of all, is having friends like you believe in me and cheer me on. Yes, the photos I posted were ones where I was having a good time and doing happy dances.
        Love you,
        Linda

  4. Hi Linda – I am so happy you received the recognition you deserve for a book that has so much meaning, warmth, and honesty. Thank you for sharing your experience with love and grace. You are a model of hope — many blessings and love to you.

    1. Thank you, Carol,
The best thing about receiving the reward is that others who could benefit from reading our story may find it. It is also nice to be acknowledged. I worked hard to publish a quality book.
The best thing about sharing my experience is the gift of freedom I experienced. With all my faults and secrets out in the world, I don’t need to hide anymore. Glad you found love and grace in my sharing.
I have my down moments, as do most of us, so don’t know if I can be considered a “model of hope.” I do believe that I grow through my challenges. If that’s being a “model of hope,” then I guess it fits.
Thanks for being such a great supporter.
      Hugs,
      Linda
